Feel a Cold Coming On? Do This!
As winter settles in, so does the season of sniffles and sore throats. To help you beat that winter cold, I’m sharing a couple of delicious immunity-boosting shots packed with nourishing, cold-fighting ingredients.

Immune-Boosting Facts:
- Consuming Elderberry may reduce the duration and severity of colds and influenza. It may reduce duration of symptoms by approximately 2-4 days in some populations. See the study here.
- Regular Vitamin C supplementation modestly reduces cold duration (but won’t prevent colds). More studies need to be completed. See the study here.
- Zinc (30-50 mg per day) has been shown to reduce the length of colds when given within 24 hours of symptom onset. See the study here.

These are incredibly easy to make and are filled with Vitamin C and other immune-boosting ingredients like ginger and turmeric which are high in antioxidants.
You can freeze them – just make sure to leave extra space in the glass bottle.
Made with elderberry tea, pomegranate juice, blueberries, and a little ginger. You can find elderberry tea at most grocery stores.
These also are freezer friendly!

What are you doing to stay healthy this winter season?
