Ingredients

  • 1 package silken tofu

Sesame Ginger Sauce

Garnish

  • sesame seeds
  • diced green onion

Instructions

  • Prepare your silken tofu: Cut open the package and drain the silken tofu (there will be a small amount of water). With a butter knife, carefully rim the silken tofu (it's very fragile so do this carefully) Put a serving plate on top of the tofu and flip it over to transfer onto a plate.
Using a sharp scissors, cut four corners of the package. Gently pat the top of the package. Slowly pull the package up and the silken tofu should release.
Tip: The silken tofu will start to release a lot of it's liquid onto the plate. Place a few sheets of paper towel next to it on the plate to absorb excess liquid as you prepare the sauce.
  • Make your easy sesame ginger sauce: Whisk together your cornstarch with 1/4 cup of water. In a small saucepan over MEDIUM heat, add all your sauce ingredients including the cornstarch slurry.
Whisk continuously for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens and warms.
  • Pour your sesame ginger sauce over tofu. Garnish with diced green onion and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
