Bang Bang Brussels Sprouts

These crisp oven-baked Bang Bang Brussel Sprouts are drizzled with a mouthwatering sweet and creamy bang bang sauce that's easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb brussel sprouts halved
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste

Bang Bang Sauce

Optional topping

  • fresh lime

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 F.
    Place your halved brussels sprouts on a baking sheet. Toss with olive oil, minced garlic, and salt and pepper to taste.
    Turn your halves FACE DOWN (this is a little tedious, but is crucial to getting them crispy).
    1 lb brussel sprouts, 2 tablespoon olive oil, 2 cloves minced garlic, salt and pepper to taste
  • Roast your brussel sprouts for 25-30 minutes or until browned and crispy. Check them around 20 minutes for doneness.
    *I will gently stir my brussel sprouts halfway, but avoid flipping so that the bottom can get as crispy as possible.
  • While your brussel sprouts roast, make your Bang Bang sauce by whisking the ingredients together in a small bowl.
    ¼ cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoon sweet chili sauce*, 1 tablespoon sriracha, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • When your brussel sprouts are finished roasting, drizzle the Bang Bang sauce either over the whole batch of sprouts (if you plan to eat them all), OR on individual servings. Optional: squeeze some fresh lime on top.
    Store leftovers separately.

Notes

⭐️ Sweet chili sauce is a condiment made from chili peppers, sugar, and vinegar and has a sweet and mildly spicy taste. It can typically be found in the international or Asian foods section of most grocery stores.
Other tips:
  • Make sure to flip over all (or nearly all) brussel sprout halves upside down. This is KEY to getting crispy brussel sprouts. 
  • If you are vegan, use a plant-based mayonnaise such as Follow Your Heart Vegenaise.  
  • Roast the brussel sprout leaves for extra crunch! They get REALLY crispy in the oven!
