DO I NEED A HIGH SPEED BLENDER FOR A SMOOTHIE BOWL?

A high speed blender such as a Vitamix is helpful to create a thick, creamy texture. If you don't have one, you can use a regular blender or food processor but you will likely have to add more milk to help it blend

TIPS TO MAKE THE  CREAMIEST SMOOTHIE BOWL

– Use a powerful blender such as a Vitamix. – Use only frozen fruit. – Use minimal liquid. – Add ingredients that create thicker consistency: chia seed or ground flaxseed.

TIPS TO MAKE THE  CREAMIEST SMOOTHIE BOWL

- Don't rush it! A thick smoothie bowl takes time. You will have to scrape down the sides a few times. – Add ice to thicken (not too much or your bowl will lose some of its flavor). – Use a tamper in your high speed blender (A tamper is a tool used with a blender to push the ingredients closer to the blade).

Directions

– In a high speed blender add your strawberries, banana, milk, and chia seeds. – Blend on high for a minute, scrape down sides or use your tamper, and blend again. – Blend until the smoothie bowl has a consistency of soft serve. – Pour into bowl and top with granola, fresh strawberries, hemp seeds, and whatever else you desire!
